JORDAN
.

Jordan is one of the few countries in the Middle East experiencing great economic stability. This is the key for tourism, as it is one of the country’s main sources of income. Jordan’s geography makes it a desirable tourist destination, including numerous ancient sites and multiple religious destinations. Our center is in Irbid, the second largest province in the kingdom. Being outside the capital, this region’s population is warm, hospitable, and ideal for any foreigner to practice the language skills learned in our classrooms.

WHAT DO OUR
STUDENTS SAY?

The teachers of ICC are professionals. They are patient with the students and do their best to help the students understand the language. Also, through them sharing about their lives, I am able to know more about the culture and life of this country.

ICC is more than just a language center. It's a cultural learning experience and a place of belonging for both students and teachers. Also, there are fewer English speakers in Irbid than Amman, so the center's location is perfect for using your Arabic outside of class.

I love how ICC really has become a family to us! The center is a very personable and comfortable place to learn. Oly the owner is extremely thoughtful and accommodating. He even had a child care center added to the center this year when he saw a need for this. This has allowed my husband and I to do classes at the same time and bring our daughter with us. This has been a life saver for many families here! The lady who watches our daughter is amazing and so trustworthy. The lessons are fun and effective! We have learned very practical conversational skills quickly with this method. The staff are all very kind and helpful with learning language, as well as any cultural questions I’ve had, inside or outside of class.

The Center is good for singles, parents of small and bigger children. Me and my wife both study on an intense level. It has been only possible because of the adaptive schedule that allows us take turns in going to the center and taking care of our little daughter. After a bit more than a year we both are able to spend several hours with locals only speaking Arabic.

“I like the center's method because is clearly structured and allows the student to advance at their own pace. I've really liked the many tools used in the lessons, e.g. picture books and audio recordings.”

“I studied one-on-one with several of the instructors at the center. Each teacher allowed me to hear and recognize a variety of accents and dialects spoken in Jordan. I would also say that in learning specifically Jordanian Arabic, it is better to take this challenge in a city like Irbid. In the capital (Amman), English is spoken more than the national language. In Irbid, more Arabic is used on a daily basis as a necessity than English. This makes language learning much easier because there's a greater opportunity to use it in everyday life.”
